Mushroom Tart

Components:

  • 1 puff pastry sheet (thawed in the fridge the evening just before)

  • 1 compact yellow onion, sliced

  • 5 cloves garlic, minced

Method:

  1. To a skillet on medium warmth, insert the olive oil and saute the onions right up until translucent (~5 mins). Insert the garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

  2. Add the mushrooms and continue on to saute. When the mushrooms have started off to brown, increase the thyme and season with salt and pepper. Go on to saute for a several additional minutes.

  3. Place your thawed puff pastry on a lined baking sheet. Frivolously rating a 1-inch border all-around the puff pastry and use a fork to poke holes in the center of the pastry.

  4. Increase the cheese to the middle of the pastry and leading with the mushroom mixture. Sprinkle the parmesan on top.

  5. Consider the whisked egg and brush the border of the puff pastry with it.

  6. Bake at 400F for 20-25 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown. Major with fresh basil and slash into wished-for-sizing pieces.
